The Associazione Arte Continua was founded by a small group of friends who are passionate about contemporary art. Their intent was, and is, to give a worthy follow-up to the territories' artistic heritage. Not mere testimonies, but projects by artists capable of marking the territory through art and culture on a par with that which we have inherited. The non-profit association was formally established in June 1990. Until 1995 the president was Lorenzo Fiaschi, who was succeeded by Mario Cristiani, still in office today. Dozens of supporting members and thousands of friends all over the world animate the association today. Among the most significant projects realised, we can mention:\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The intention of the Arte Continua Association has always been to connect the research on our time<\/strong> in its most interesting components, with what is the history of art within which we live<\/strong>in an attempt to continue today what previous generations started<\/strong>.<\/p>

The Associazione Arte Continua brought national and international artists and curators<\/strong>, to confront the Tuscan territory, wanting to take up and pay homage to the spirit of the Renaissance. The driving force behind this project was the attempt to create a balance between town and country and produce new links between art, architecture and landscape<\/strong>returning art to a central role in the construction of cities and landscapes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\"Cultural projects would trigger powerful local development processes, first of all strengthening the social and cultural capital in the area; they would strengthen social cohesion by acting on the bonds and values of local society; they would stimulate cultural, technological and social innovation, encouraging people and micro-businesses towards new economic activities more oriented towards sustainability; they would enhance the value of the architectural heritage and tangible and intangible cultural assets, (...) Value for the territory<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The value of the project for the territory consists in the creation of a new partially diffuse cultural attractor, capable of combining a cultural tourism circuit with a policy of social and educational awareness<\/strong> around large public works by renowned international and contemporary Italian artists.<\/p>


Each administration and local reality will be involved in a programme of didactic and educational activities developed according to individual works<\/strong>which may grow in number as time goes on, so as to maintain and increase interest and attention for this initiative.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
