{"id":1896,"date":"2025-05-09T09:23:55","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T09:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artecontinua.org\/?post_type=artist&#038;p=1896"},"modified":"2025-05-19T16:27:30","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T16:27:30","slug":"giovanni-ozzola","status":"publish","type":"artist","link":"https:\/\/artecontinua.org\/en\/artist\/giovanni-ozzola\/","title":{"rendered":"John Ozzola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\"><strong>John Ozzola<\/strong> (Florence, 1982), a Tuscan artist who moves between photography, video and installations, is known for his ability to interweave the language of art with universal themes such as time, light and space.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In 2016 he participated in the motra\u00a0<em>Vision \/ Reality Systems <\/em>together with <a href=\"https:\/\/artecontinua.org\/en\/art-exhibition\/loris-cecchini\/\"><em><strong>Loris Cecchini<\/strong><\/em><\/a>with an intervention at the SMS Exhibition Centre for Contemporary Arts in Pisa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In 2021, he donated a work for the fundraising project<a href=\"https:\/\/artecontinua.org\/en\/arte-per-la-riforestazione\/\"><strong> Art for Reforestation,<\/strong><\/a> in 2023 presented the exhibition <em>Without You Without North, Untitled<\/em> at Manifattura Tabacchi, a poetic exploration of the concepts of orientation and bewilderment. In 2024, he realised<em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Single Bells Act<\/em>a permanent work in the Bosco della Nova in Mondov\u00ec (CN).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With his work, Ozzola invites the viewer to lose himself in reflections, horizons and symbols, transforming the visible into a meditative and timeless experience.<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1982 in Florence, <strong>John Ozzola<\/strong> lives and works in the Canary Islands. He is a multidisciplinary artist working mainly in photography, as well as video and sculptural installation. Ozzola's practice demonstrates a deep sensitivity to the phenomenon of light and its different physical characteristics.
