        "rendered": "<p class=\"\"><strong>Moataz Nasr<\/strong> (Alexandria, 1961) is an Egyptian artist whose research explores themes related to identity, culture and social transformations, using different media such as video, installation, painting and sculpture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In 2004 he participated in the 9th edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/artecontinua.org\/en\/project\/arte-allarte\/\"><strong><em>Art to Art<\/em><\/strong><\/a> with the work <a href=\"https:\/\/artecontinua.org\/en\/project\/tears-moataz-nasr-2004-2\/\"><strong><em>Tears<\/em><\/strong><\/a>made in Siena and later donated to the municipality of Colle di Val d'Elsa, a work that reflects on collective memory and universal emotions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In 2013, the SMS San Michele degli Scalzi Exhibition Centre in Pisa and Villa Pacchiani in Santa Croce sull'Arno inaugurated <em>Moataz Nasr. A bridge between<\/em><em>a<\/em><em> Pisa and Santa Croce sull'Arno<\/em>a double solo exhibition that offered an in-depth look at his poetics and his ability to connect different places and cultures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moataz Nasr<\/strong> (Alexandria, 1961) is today one of the most interesting figures to emerge from the context of contemporary Egyptian art.  Awarded in 2002 at the Dakar Biennale, Nasr exhibited the installation <em>One Ear of Mud Another of Dough, <\/em>work with which he won the Grand Prix of the Cairo Biennale. His work has conquered the international scene in just a couple of years: preferably using very simple expressive tools, Nasr always develops in his works a refined combination of political or social demands, references to traditional materials from the Arab world and sudden poetic openings full of emotion.<\/p>",
