A bridge betweena Pisa and Santa Croce sull'Arnoa double solo exhibition that offered an in-depth look at his poetics and his ability to connect different places and cultures.
Moataz Nasr (Alexandria, 1961) is today one of the most interesting figures to emerge from the context of contemporary Egyptian art. Awarded in 2002 at the Dakar Biennale, Nasr exhibited the installation One Ear of Mud Another of Dough, work with which he won the Grand Prix of the Cairo Biennale. His work has conquered the international scene in just a couple of years: preferably using very simple expressive tools, Nasr always develops in his works a refined combination of political or social demands, references to traditional materials from the Arab world and sudden poetic openings full of emotion.
