John Ozzola

John Ozzola (Florence, 1982), a Tuscan artist who moves between photography, video and installations, is known for his ability to interweave the language of art with universal themes such as time, light and space.

In 2016 he participated in the motra Vision / Reality Systems together with Loris Cecchiniwith an intervention at the SMS Exhibition Centre for Contemporary Arts in Pisa.

In 2021, he donated a work for the fundraising project Art for Reforestation, in 2023 presented the exhibition Without You Without North, Untitled at Manifattura Tabacchi, a poetic exploration of the concepts of orientation and bewilderment. In 2024, he realised Single Bells Acta permanent work in the Bosco della Nova in Mondovì (CN).

With his work, Ozzola invites the viewer to lose himself in reflections, horizons and symbols, transforming the visible into a meditative and timeless experience.

Born in 1982 in Florence, John Ozzola lives and works in the Canary Islands. He is a multidisciplinary artist working mainly in photography, as well as video and sculptural installation. Ozzola's practice demonstrates a deep sensitivity to the phenomenon of light and its different physical characteristics. His main thematic interests lie in conceptualising and representing the infinite and exploration, both geographical and introspective.
