Erminia De Luca

Erminia De Luca is an Italian contemporary artist, known for her artistic practice that blends figurative elements and heterogeneous cultural references, experimenting with different disciplines and materials.

On the occasion of the 8th edition of Arte all'Arte, curators Elio Grazioli and Hou Hanru were invited to create an installation in the Museo del Paesaggio e della Mezzadria in Buonconvento.

Erminia De Luca is an Italian artist born in Apulia in 1968, who currently lives and works in Milan. Self-taught, she started her career in photography between 1994 and 1999, focusing on themes such as still life and self-portraiture, using techniques such as negatives and special treatments at the printing stage. During this period, he collaborated with the Cultural Centre Il Fotogramma in Rome. Subsequently, his artistic practice evolved, incorporating figurative elements and diverse cultural references, experimenting with various materials and techniques. Since 2015, he has been contaminating photography with other languages and means of expression, achieving multidisciplinary art projects, in which the photographic image merges with pencil drawing and writing. The investigation of human feeling is the main theme of her work. Today she calls herself a visual poet. Her work reflects a continuous research into cultural roots, offering a unique perspective in the Italian contemporary art scene.
