Collaboration with Mattador

It was held on 17 July, the awards ceremony for the 16th edition of the Mattador Screenwriting Prize, In honour of Matteo Caenazzo. With this edition, the connection between the Mattador Association and Arte Continua Association has been made official.

Already for the 2024 edition, the Association had become active by asking Mimmo Paladino to create the award. For the new edition, the Associazione Arte Continua has proposed to the Associazione Mattador, who has enthusiastically accepted, to entrust the creation of the prize to the artist Leandro Erlich. 

During the event, hosted in the splendid setting of Venice's La Fenice Theatre, the artist's edition created by Leandro Erlich was presented to the young winners.

An important moment of dialogue between the arts, in the spirit of Matteo Caenazzo, as noted by our president Mario Cristiani during his welcome to the awardees. The value of long-term engagement is part of a common commitment that both associations pursue, seeking to give continuity and rhythm to an endeavour that does not end with the award ceremony or the celebration of the artist at the inauguration. The objective is to build intergenerational relationships, based on poetic research and direct, personal involvement.
